Posted on 09/30/2010

Williamsville NY, September 30, 2010 the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) announced the results of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Order for Modernizing the E-Rate Program. In the notice released on September 29, 2010 the FCC issued its order on eligible services funded under the E-Rate program. The outcome of the FCC’s decision has resulted in the expansion of Priority One eligible services under the E-Rate funding program.

SharpSchool is very pleased with this outcome as the FCC’s decision continues to support the Schools and school districts that have made this important investment and will offer an expanded set of SharpSchool E-Rate eligible services to Schools and School Districts in the future. “This was a crucial decision by the FCC, it ensures that critical services such as web hosting and interactive communications are available to every school and school district seeking to develop with the changing tides in technology,” said John Carbrey, CIO of SharpSchool.

“This decision is opening the door to the future of technology and education, all made possible by educators making their voices heard and expressing the importance of creating engaging and interactive communities. SharpSchool is dedicated to supporting Schools and School districts with award winning technologies enabling them to bridge the technological gaps and create the new future of education,” Bradley Robins, former K-12 educator and Manager of Business Development at SharpSchool.
