Federal Government Assistance for Schools

The E-Rate program is a federal program designed to provide discounts to assist schools and libraries in the US to obtain affordable telecommunications and internet access. By taking part in this program, it may be possible for your school or district to get the SharpSchool solution partly funded through E-Rate.

SharpSchool’s solution for webhosting is eligible for 95% of its cost to be funded through E-Rate, and SharpSchool’s student safe email is eligible for 100% of its cost to be funded through E-Rate.

The actual amount of funding you can receive from E-Rate also depends on several factors, including:

  • Whether your location is rural or urban
  • what percentage of your students qualify for the National School Lunch Program
